High Level Enemies is designed to bring the best features of these different leveling systems together. ![]() Finally, mods that add high level creatures do a good job keeping the difficulty up at higher levels but still get easy when the player outlevels the added creatures. Mods that introduce level scaling don't properly account for the fact that the player's growth is non-linear so the game gets easy at high levels. Mods that delevel creatures usually render the game very difficult at low levels but easy at high levels. Some make the game harder at low levels and some harder at high levels but in each case there are difficulty spikes. There are a number of great mods available that effect creature level and scaling. ![]() The scaling is non-linear and takes into account that high level players invest in at least 1 crafting skill (Smithing, Enchanting or Alchemy). Countless hours were spent customizing the Stats, Skills, Perks, Spells, Damage Done and Armor Rating of each added creature to ensure that the difficulty stays consistent as the player levels! For each enemy type the highest level variant scales with player level so the game doesn't get too easy! Each of Skyrim's main enemy types are covered including Bandits, Draugr, Dragon Priests, Falmer, Forsworn, Thalmor, Dwarven Constructs, Vampires, Warlocks, Trolls, Chaurus, Spriggans, Hagravens, Spiders and Wild Animals! I'm using BoT with a handful of both Mihail's and 4thUnknown's right now, though I've used all of them in the past, and can't say I've been disappointed with variety from any of them.- This mod adds 384 new high-level enemies to Skyrim! Both are of high quality, and there's a moderate amount of overlap between the two, so it's a good way to pick and choose individual things you like without the bloat of a larger pack. No monsters, but good for increasing the wilderness variety.Īside from those, there are also Mihail and 4thUnknown, two mod authors who release quite a lot of creature mods, generally one mod per creature (though Mihail has started doing small themed packs recently). adds more variety to the natural wildlife, deer, bears, boars, and such, plus others passive animals like raccoon and pheasant. There's a bit of personal preference here, depending on what you like and what you want out of it it's not a bad idea to try a few and get a feel with a short 2-3 hour game to see what works for you.
